With over a decade of hands-on experience and training from MÄori and North American master weavers, I bring timeless skills to todayâs sustainability challenges.
Hi, Iâm Karina. I grew up outside the modern system, learning traditional skills from birth as my parents taught ancestral wisdom in Austria. By my teens, I had lived alone in the wild as a rite of passage, written my first book, and begun teaching weaving with natural fibres.
Iâve trained with MÄori master weavers in New Zealand and with traditional weavers from North America, blending their teachings with my own lifelong experience. Now, I share my passion for sustainable living and flax weaving, helping others create beautiful, practical items that honor the land and reduce waste.
